Poole Townsend’s conveyancing is quality, and that’s official as they have for the third year running, been accepted as members of the Law Society’s quality standard, the Conveyancing Quality Scheme.

The Conveyancing Quality Scheme accreditation is only available to legal firms showing the highest standards of conveyancing services and client care.

Susan Pyne, Partner and Head of Residential Conveyancing, Poole Townsend, comments: “We have always prided ourselves on the extremely high level of client care and legal conveyancing expertise we offer and now we have had it confirmed for the third year in a row. This is quite an achievement for the third year running and I am very proud of the entire conveyancing team.

“Being a member of this scheme, serves to reassure both our existing and new clients, that when buying or selling property, they can always be assured they will receive a quality conveyancing service, combined with the highest levels of client care.

“The recent addition of Matthew Beecham, a qualified and experienced solicitor to the conveyancing department has strengthened our team”.

The accreditation to the Conveyancing Quality Scheme is in addition to the firms’ existing membership of the Law Society’s overall quality standard – Lexcel – which the firm has held for over eight years, undergoing rigorous annual inspections by Law Society appointed accreditors.

Conveyancing covers the whole legal process of buying and selling of residential or business property from the time a sale is agreed to the final handing over of the keys. Look for the new Conveyancing Quality Scheme logo whenever considering your choice for professional conveyancing.

Hawcoat Dynamos Sponsorship

This month, Poole Townsend is proud to support local under 8’s football team, the Hawcoat Park Dynamos.

To show their support, Poole Townsend has donated £450 to the club which enabled them to purchase a new football kit for the team.  Now all the young players will be able to go out on the pitch and wear their new strip with pride.

The Hawcoat Park Dynamos play in the under 8’s Barrow and District Junior Football League and take their football very seriously, with weekly training sessions.  The club is run by Paul McGlown and Nick Ellis who give their time voluntarily.

Nick Ellis, comments:  “Without the support of local businesses, the team wouldn’t have new football kit to wear and it means so much to them.  We are very grateful to Poole Townsend for their support.  The team are a real pleasure to coach and have come a long way”.

Joanne Copeland, Partner, Poole Townsend, adds:  “It is great to see that as a local firm, we can help a local team.  Every donation to a small club is always appreciated.  I am looking forward to seeing the team come out in their new kit with our logo on the front”.

The team, Hawcoat Park Dynamos, play in the Barrow and District Junior Football League and have 10 teams in all ranging from Under 6’s to Under 16’s. The club is aiming for Chartered Standard. The FA Charter Standard programme supported by McDonald’s is a kite mark, which recognizes and rewards high quality levels of provision in club and league football. The kite mark is awarded to clubs and leagues that are well run, sustainable, which place child protection, quality coaching and safety paramount and are hoping to achieve this recognition soon.

Help bereaved families this Christmas

A hospital charity is calling on people to support bereavement care at Blue Skies Hospitals Fund - the charity behind Blackpool Teaching HospitalsNHS Foundation Trust and who Duncan House is associagted with - has launched its Christmas Wishes 2014 appeal, asking people to donate their money instead of buying Christmas cards.

Through the charity’s specially created JustGiving page, supporters can leave their seasonal messages while making their donation, and can share their gift on social media for friends, family and colleagues to see.

All money raised through Christmas Wishes will support Blue Skies’ Tree of Lights Appeal 2014, which is raising money to develop Bereavement Services at the Trust. This important resource ensures that all those who suffer the loss of a loved one receive appropriate practical and emotional support.

As well as supporting a local charity, people taking part in Christmas Wishes will also be doing their bit for the environment.

Head of Fundraising at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Amanda Bennett, said: “We hope as many people as possible choose to support our charity as an alternative to sending Christmas cards this year.

“Bereavement care is a vital service, and you never know when you, or a member of your family, will need it.”
